Integration Planning with OVENTRA360
OVENTRA360 is intended to work alongside your existing ERP and business systems. This page explains how integration is approached — as a discovery-led discussion, not a promise of prebuilt connectors.
Integration discussion areas only. SAP, Tally, BUSY, APIs and file-based exchange are areas the Oventra team can discuss with you. OVENTRA360 does not claim prebuilt connectors, guaranteed compatibility or confirmed integrations with any specific system. Compatibility, data scope, technical method, security and implementation effort must be assessed during discovery.
Our approach
Discovery First. Then Decide.
Every business runs a different combination of systems, versions and data practices. That’s why integration starts with understanding — not with assumptions.
During discovery, the Oventra team works with your business and IT stakeholders to understand which systems are involved, what data needs to move, how often, and in which direction. Only then is an integration approach proposed.
Systems to discuss
ERP & Business Systems
Common systems businesses ask about. Each is a discussion area, assessed individually.
SAP
SAP environments vary by product, version and deployment model.
Tally
Widely used by businesses and channel partners for accounting.
BUSY
Accounting and business management software used by many businesses.
Other ERP & business systems
Other ERPs, accounting packages and in-house systems.
Technical approaches
APIs & File-Based Integration
Two broad methods that may be considered, depending on what your systems support.
API-based integration
Where your system provides suitable application programming interfaces, data may be exchanged programmatically. Suitability depends on the APIs available in your system and version, access permissions, security requirements and the data involved.
- Depends on the interfaces your system exposes
- Requires agreed authentication and access controls
- Data mapping and error handling defined up front
File-based data exchange
Where APIs are not available or not appropriate, structured files (for example, exports and imports in an agreed format) may be used to exchange data on a defined schedule. Formats, frequency, validation and handling of exceptions are agreed during discovery.
- Agreed file formats and field definitions
- Defined schedule and responsibilities
- Validation and reconciliation of each exchange
What is assessed
Five Things Assessed in Every Integration Discussion
Compatibility
Whether your system version, edition and deployment allow data exchange — and through which interfaces.
Data scope
Which data domains need to move, in which direction, and which system is the source of truth for each.
Technical method
Whether an API, file-based exchange or another approach is appropriate for your environment.
Security
Authentication, access control, data protection and hosting considerations for any connection.
Implementation effort
The work involved for both sides, including mapping, testing and ongoing maintenance.
Solution-specific considerations
Integration Considerations by Solution
Each OVENTRA solution page lists the data areas typically worth assessing for that solution — for example, partner masters for dealer management or product codes for verification.
Discuss Integration with Our Team
